Laporan ini ditujukan untuk menguraikan Aplikasi SMS Gateway untuk Mahasiswa Sebagai Info On Demand, dengan menguraikan cara kerja sistem dan keunggulannya dalam memberikan informasi akademik kepada mahasiswa. Penyusunan karya tulis ini dimulai dengan cara penggalian ide dan pengembangan kreativitas dilanjutkan studi pustaka yang didukung dengan konsultasi ke dosen kemudian dilakukan pengumpulan data dan informasi. Pembuatan laporan ini diarahkan oleh dosen pembimbing. Sistem yang diusulkan dalam laporan ini adalah Aplikasi SMS Gateway untuk Mahasiswa Sebagai Info On Demand. Sistem ini diawali dengan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan mahasiswa akan informasi akademik yang bisa diakses melalui SMS dan dengan Handphone apapun. Jika mahasiswa ingin mendapatkan informasi akademik maka mahasiswa tersebut haruslah terlebih dahulu mendaftarkan diri pada bagian akademik (user) dengan mencantumkan Password agar informasi mengenai mahasiswa tersebut tidak diketahui oleh mahasiswa lain. Dengan demikian mahasiswa cukup dengan mengetik format SMS yang diberikan oleh user agar bisa mengakses informasi yang dibutuhkan. Aplikasi SMS Gateway untuk Mahasiswa Sebagai Info On Demand ini, diharapkan berupa produk yang mudah diakses dan murah yang juga dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam mendapatkan informasi dari akademik dan pihak akademik juga dapat dengan mudah memberikan suatu informasi kepada mahasiswa dengan lebih efisien.
