Penelitian solar thermal menggunakan cermin sebagai reflektor cahaya dilakukan dengan menggunakan 2 buah reflektor cermin yang mempunyai diameter 193 cm dan 63,5 cm. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan dengan membuat variasi berkaitan dengan : Suhu, Intensitas, flux cahaya, energi, perpindahan panas, gelombang elektromagnetik, radiasi, geometri, efesiensi. Pada pengambilan data alat reflektor, dilakukan dengan posisi Tracking (bergerak) disesuaikan posisi matahari maupun posisi diam.
