Penentuan potensial biogas paduan limbah buah mangga dan sayuran dengan proses anaerobik sistem batch di Pasar Buah Gamping Sleman pada kondisi mesophilik

Penelitian tentang penentuan potensial biogas dari paduan limbah buah mangga dan sayuran dari Pasar Buah Gamping Sleman diharapkan dapat diubah menjadi energi alternatif yang ramah lingkungan serta untuk mempertahankan kualitas lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan lima perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Paduan limbah buah mangga dan sayuran yang sudah mendapat perlakuan awal digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian. Sampel dengan perlakuan 1%,1,5% VS, 2% VS, 2,5% serta 3% VS dimasukkan ke dalam reaktor dengan kapasitas 150 ml yang berisi 20 ml inokulum mesofilik dari instalasi biogas kotoran sapi. Reaktor diinkubasikan pada suhu 35ºC (suhu mesofilik) selama periode pengamatan 50-60 hari. Pengukuran produksi biogas secara simultan dilakukan sebanyak 15-20 kali dalam periode tersebut. Sampah buah mangga yang memiliki C/N ratio 44,36 terlalu tinggi untuk input digester, sehingga harus dipadukan dengan bahan lain yang memiliki C/N ratio lebih rendah. Sampah sayuran, dengan C/N rasio 15,64 dipilih karena tersedia di Pasar Buah Gamping juga. Pencampuran dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan C/N ratio optimum antara 20-30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Volatile solid paduan limbah buah mangga dan sayuran sampah adalah 8,993% pada C/N rasio 30. Berdasarkan analisis kurva akumulasi biogas diperoleh potensial biogas 147,04 ml/gVS pada 1.5% VS.

This research is about the determination of the biogas potentials from mangoes and fruit waste mixture taken from Gamping Fruit Market Sleman Regency and to be hoped can be converted into alternative energy which environment friendly and also to maintain the environment quality. The method used was the Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and triplicates. Pre-treated of mangoes and fruit waste mixture used as experiment samples. By using treatments of 1%VS, 1.5% VS, 2% VS, 2,5% VS and 3% VS, samples were filled into reactors with capacity of 150 ml which contain of 20 ml volume of mesophilic inoculums from biogas plant which treated cow dung in Sidokarto,Godean. The reactors were incubated at temperature of 35ºC (mesophilic temperature) during the time period of 50- 60 days. Simultaneously measurements of biogas production were necessary done. The C/N ratio of mangoes waste was 44.36. It was too high as digester input, hence it had to be mixed with other raw material which had lower of C/N ratio. Vegetable waste was chosen because it was also available at the market. The mixture was proposed for finding the optimum value of C/N ratio between 20-30. The results showed that the volatile solid value of mangoes and vegetables waste mixture was 8,99% on C/N ratio of 30. Based on the accumulated biogas production curves, the biogas potential of mangoes and vegetables waste mixture was 147,08 ml/g VS on 1,5 %VS.
