ABSTRACT : Emosi Resilience encouraging is one of effort to promote mental health on adolescence. Adolescence who live in an orphanage have a high risk on emotional disorder in the future because they grow in disadvantage environment. They are from low income families and raised in an institution, orphanage. The aim of this research is to promote awareness of emotions, facilitate a welcoming and acceptance of emotional experiences, promote putting emotions into words or symbols, facilitate the evaluation of whether the emotion is positive or negative, identify the destructive beliefs or views attached to the maladaptive emotion, and facilitate access to alternate adaptive emotion to strengthen resilience. The design conveyed here was single group both in pre-test and post-test. Preliminary study was carried out by interviews and resilience scale distribution. The participants were female adolescence from 16-18 years (mid adolescence), had a neglect history by their parents and are from low income families. The training comprised of 8 sessions, each session lasted in 1.5 hours. Resilience scale that were used in the measurement focused on the pre-test, post-test and follow-up phase (2 weeks after the training). In the last phase, interview was also conducted. The research result showed emotional-focused-coping strategy training can encourage the resilience on female adolescence who live in an orphanage.
